Good service
Always helpful and friendly staff every time I go here. The only place I will buy my pets food and supplies
Im not going to sit here and slander this shop, as it is a good quality, good priced shop, their livefood is always in stock and good quality. Their animals are kept in great conditions too.. and quite frankly I like coming here and spending my money.. as i own a lot of pets.. However on the downside I wanted to buy some giant african land snails. That were clearly for sale.. quite clearly had a price sign on, and clearly no notice to state that they were not for sale.. (and the fact ive seen them be sold) i went in on sunday 30/09/18 and asked about the snails.. her reply was oh they are a bit small and no they are not for sale i could see in her face that she did not trust me as a animal owner.. she didnt say it but i had that vibe, and my vibes are never wrong.. i took this personally as i have always been praised for my great care and understanding in all animals.. i have several higher up degrees in biology, care, microbiology, husbandry etc all involving exotics.. i own ferrets, chameleons, croc skinks, colonies of exotic ants (which are the most difficult sensitive pets ive owned) ive had livestock, and the obvious dogs and cats.. i spend a fortune on my pets every month.. my chameleon for example lives in a natural set up with mico fauna and everything is as natural as can be, apart from being in an enclosure. To date, ive never had a single animal die on me due to ill health caused by husbandry. They have all died because they have exceeded their life expectancy.. so to be refused for 2 poxy snails, which are the most easiest pets to own.. bit of daily misting, and cuttle fish and veg (some protien in form of fish flakes or mushed up meaworms) and a heat mat in colder months. They are pretty basic.i just wanted to add to my invertebrate collection of giant milliledes, scorpions. this was a bit of a insult..Although i walked out offeneded I have still rated this shop a 3 star because everything else is perfect and the shop owner clearly cares about all her animals, the shop is good on price and quality, and im aware the owner is knowledgable as is a asset to the animal industry. I also understand she doesnt want to give animals to anyone, but a few basic questions which i could of answered in great detail would of made her comfortable with me and remove any of her doubts.. i may look young, although im 24 I love animals, and what i do excels basic animal welfare. This was 3:30 on a sunday afternoon, but as a paying customer I just felt quite uncomfortable and had to pretend not to care and browse the shop, which i just wanted to get out of, i walked out feeling awkward and guilty
Cheaper than pets smart or any other rip off places that exploit pet owners.
When I discovered this pet shop over a year ago I was delighted with the range of accessories they have for rabbits. Also the range/ different sizes of pet bedding. The big bag of sawdust is a brilliant price and it last me months with 4 rabbits. The reason I havent given a 5 is simply my own personal opinion of them sometimes having too many rabbits in one cage. Now I know that's probably not there fault and I'm sure they sell quickly . On a positive note the staff are always friendly and helpful. They always offer to help take my crazy amount of stuff to the car.
